i have had a small leak with the fittings. I will be welding a 10 AN fitting to the side of the pan and using braided lines.
i think that should take care of it.

if you tap the hole out too large you may have to use exessive sealant.. i left the hole on the small side just for that reason.

I ran the drill really slow, and dipped it in moly lube every ten seconds then wiped it off. It took 15 minutes or so, but the hole turned out clean and I didn't get any shavings in the pan either.

If you are in the detroit area, let me know - I have the tap and drill you need (I'll probably never use them again!)

If you are using a scavenge pump then you can go back into the pan at the oil drain plug or the oil level sensor port. SLYws6 there is a block off plate above the oil filter. You replace that block or drill and tap it.

Cool I'll have a scavenge pump for the return so I'll plan on plumbing it into the drain plug. I'm guessing the block off plate your talking about is that little upward facing nipple that is part of the actual oil pan right? Thanks for the info.

I went in through the oil level port with my setup. The block off plate I am talking about is right above the oil filter. The nipple was facing down on my car and no its not part of the pan. The pan is one piece. The block off plate is held on by two bolts.

ok that plate is actually on the pan then, I have 2 of them sitting in my garage, one damaged from losing 2 rods lol, the other brand new. The pan is one piece however this portion you are referencing is part of the pan, there are some passages built into the pan that route into the block. Thanks.

-Sly

Edit: Well not exactly one piece but you get what I mean

Why not go through a filter relocation kit instead? Is there any problems with them? I figure if you got one of those and then tee of one of the hoses, then you wouldn't have to drill into the pan.

Just an idea. Question is, would it work?

I'll be running a filter relocation kit on the return line from the turbo in case it ever decides to shell out nothing will get sent back to the engine.

slyws6 the plate I am talking about for the oil supply is shown below. The stock oil block-off plate goes were the Incon replacement plate is just above the filter.
