It's defiantly not just a converter issue if you are only spitting out 160psi IMO. 210 sounds high, so I'm guessing you are farther advanced than you think. I had a crazy tight converter (14 stator 9.5 PTC) on a bone stock 4.8 and could easily spool and spin the tires. Had an 1800rpm drop on the shift!

How close is the intake valve coming? Did it hit the solder? Did you MIC the solder afterward to see exactly how close it was? Not trying to be disrespectful in anyway, but it sounds like a lot of guess work. Kinda have to be exact with the degreeing process. You can make a piston stop from a spark plug super easy. Also what method did you use to degree? .050 lift method?

What's the timing table look like? Particularly right where it starts to make a small amount of boost pressure

Timing is pretty high around 32* and i start pulling a degree per pound of boost till about 8-10 psi where i transition to 16*.

I pulled cam and installing it in the ss. Just gonna run a stock lq4 cam until i can get the money up to buy a triple 12.
