2011 chevy silverado 5.3 w/ vortech v2
I just took a vortech v2 (that needs a rebuild) in on trade so..... its going on my truck. 5.3 single can short bed 6l80e z71 1500.
Who do you guys recommend to rebuild it and possibly upgrade the impeller (it has a blade MIA)?
Should I even bother with the impeller upgrade or go with the factory vortech?
Goal: 400whp on 89 oct and FMIC (Meth if needed, 93 when towing)
Plans: FMIC so ill be replacing my current transcooler with a remote style w/ fan under the bed.
Questions:
-Who should I have rebuild the SC?
-Should I upgrade the impeller wheel while its getting rebuilt if the cost difference isn't crazy?
-The 5.3 accessory mounting locations havent really change since the later year/body, it looks like vortec bracket will work with my engine... can anyone chime in on this?
-Assuming ill need a FPR with a boost reference, whats a good choice for the factory rails/lines?
-I'm located on Long island, NY. Looking for a reputable tuner in my area.
-Can i safely meet my goals with the factory manifolds and cats? If needed ill go with headers but i'm not looking to go too crazy with this truck.
