I'm aiming to keep the hotside much the same as pictured here with the lil gt45 and a 44mm gate directly on the turbine housing.




should I go to a 60mm gate or will the 44mm gate suffice?

Try the 44 first since you already have it. I cant see you having any issues especially if you're keeping the gate in the same location on the new setup. Give it a shot!

maybe I should phrase my question another way.

If I went to a 60mm gate would the increased flow control be negated by my 1 3/4" WG dump pipe?
