Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you for not doing a hood, or fender exit on the car! Keep it street!

Great work my man.

While I agree hood or high fender exit is annoying, mainly because you get blasted in the face with exhaust if you have the window down and pin it. The noise itself isn't that bad because plenty of NA cars with headers and exhaust out the back are louder then turbo cars with front exit.

But I've had low front exits out the bottom or below the bumper or fender and I don't think detracts too much from it being a street car. I've even tucked mufflers up front so its not overly loud, no exhaust in your face and it greatly simplifies those of us doing DIY garage projects. I've driven lots of miles and hours like this and its hardly a concern.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. It's funny sometimes when unsuspecting people see the car and ask "is that the tailpipe?"

Car’s been great (knock on wood). I drive it to work every now and then. Put a ton of miles on it each year. Latest development was a gear change to an oem 3.31 set. No noise whatsoever. Had three other gear sets and all were noisy. OEM for me from here on out. Much more enjoyable to drive now. Got my eye out for a G-force 4 speed, but I haven’t been lookin real hard. That’s about it. Rt. 66 dragway’s been closed and they lost the contract for NMCA, so no recent passes as I don’t have a truck and trailer to drag it to Byron, GLD or Cordova.

12 bolt? I scored a set of GM 3.31’s a few years ago. Aftermarket gear sets howl after about 10 passes. The 3.31 stayed quiet for about 50 passes. Howling now though….
Used sets (that we used to throw away) are hard to find. I’d like another set.

Yes, 12 bolt. I street drive mine a ton so it needs to be quiet. I’m gonna scoop up GM sets when they come along.
