Default My chevy s10 turbo drag build

So I decided about two months ago to build a drag only truck here is where I am so far:

LM7 block 9.5 CR
LM7 heads
Stock crank
LS9 head gasket
Arp studs
Weisco pistons
Compstar callies H rods
Stage 2 Comp cam, springs, and pushrods
80mm t6 borg werner turbo
Turbo smart waste gate and BOV
8.8 ford diff
calvert caltracs and mono leaf spring
calvert front and rear shocks
Stock suspension in the front
th400 w/ transbrake
102mm throttle body
holley fuel pump
fast 88 injectors
psi harness

So far today we finished building the engine mounts and moved the transmission crossmember back 6 inches to make way for the transmission. We also hooked up the leaf springs and caltracs.

I just ordered the holley sniper intake well see how that works out.

Im thinking about running 110 unleaded but wanted to know if anyone could help me with some information about running e85 instead?

Also where would be the best size for the return hose -10 or -12?

E85 is certainly a much cheaper fuel to use. Fuel flow requirements will go up substantially. There is no need to run a return line that large. A -08AN feed with a -06AN return would supply plenty of fuel. Which Holley fuel pump do you have?

Unless he is referring to the drain line on the turbo? -10 works great for that.

Really hard to say on the flow rate. Depends if they are 88lb at 43.5 or 58 psi.
Either way, they will be a bitch to tune with the stock ECU because I doubt there is any good hpt data for them to plug into the tables.

Best would be to run something around 1300-1600 cc/min in an ID or FIC.
Expensive though.

I have the same pump and ID1000's at 60 psi base and run 9.20's@149+ in a 3400 lb Nova. I'm admittedly pushing the limits on both.

That S10 will be lighter.

Cool project!

I think at this point I just may stick to 93 pump or 105, 110 race fuel and then upgrade later. what other injectors would y'all recommend other than the fast injectors? Im trying to stay within 500-1000 for injectors

Does anyone know the size of the water pump outlet and inlet so that I make threads and plug the wholes since I'm not running a water heater core?

e85 will pull heat better and have the same resistance to detonation or better.
the higher volumes of fuel will create more cylinder pressure and exhaust volume.

short of running methanol e85 is the best bang for the buck for safety and power production

that pump should carry you pretty far, sell those 88s and buy some 160 and you'll be in business

You supposedly dont want to plug them. Its bestto run a loop hose. Try doing a SEARCH on this for P/Ns and info

The LS thermostat design operates in a way that plugging the heater core lines is ok

3/8 and 1/2" pipe taps and plugs will do the job.

thanks guys, Do y'all recommend going with a high impediance or a low impediance injectors? and if you go with a low impedance what do you need to run that injector? I saw that you need a converter of some sort

initially I was going to run some ls2 fast 88lbs but now I'm considering running the bosch 160lbs because I'm no sure if I want to run just 110 race fuel or maybe upgrade to e85. Can I run the 160# and then switch the tune later for e85?
