After years of cam bolt ons and spray I decided to switch, I decided to build my own setup, I purchased a front clip and got to work. I'm keeping it simple keeping A/C, stock fans and accessory location.
The front clip I used Mock up motor bolted to the subframe and installed in clip Used a spared piece of exhaust pipe to support the turbo so I could find the best spot for it. You can see how the charge pipe is going to be incorporated into the subframe Its snug but enough room for the steering shaft, also started a motor mount bolt to check clearance
That is pretty neat. I've never seen a turbo there before on a 4th gen, or any car for that matter. Are you going to run a pipe into the turbo inlet so it doesn't have to suck hot air from that header you made? Very original design, what gave you the idea to do that?

yes going to run a filter under the fans then back to the turbo inlet. I wanted to do something different and not mess with the accessories or fans
I had hours in moving the turbo 1/8 inch at a time to get it just right Pic of the driver header starting its journey down to the crossover pipe Installed a v-band for easy disassemble Best place I could find for the gate, not alot of room in 4th gens...you can see the charge pipe that is inserted into the k-member it will get finish welded and structural part of the k-member
very well done. I bet if you went with a smaller turbo, you could do twins and not have to cut into the kmember. At least my going in theory, but love the approach!
Finally welded and painted, all the parts just about done for the kit you can see how the charge pipe is indergrated into the k member Still have to wrap the header and cross over
