Default Procharger and racing

Looking for options a long overdue power upgrade.

Was focusing on heads and a cam as i daily drive the car, including in the rain, as well and weekend autox and road racing.

But just want to make sure i give a procharger or similar setups their fair shake.

I do not want to give up my a/c, nor deal with any overheating issues.

Would love to go with a roots style, but want bolt in options, so no welding in cowl mods.

Does anyone out these race their fbodys with prochargers installed?

I am not looking to make huge power, maybe 450-475hp at the wheels.

Tony

Tony, we built the C5 Corvette in the above link at the old shop. Once we added an oil cooler, this customer's engine temp's stayed down lap after lap. Bob

The procharger would really shine in high speed, long track road racing. Basically a centrifugal is good any time high rpm is involved. The downside to this is that they suck at any low rpm boost. There is a reason the only factory motor in the world to employ a centrifugal supercharger is a low volume racing motorcycle.
