I am just a dumb dumb and I am trying to learn from people that know better than me...

So...if anyone can shed some light to the differences, I would appreciate it.

These show old cast vs the new sxe. You can see the sxe has more of a cupped shape to promote quicker spool.

It was a 5.3 with a 215/215 112 cam. Made 580 on 17lbs with the non-intercooled carb and 15lbs intercooled. Was a bit lower than I expected but that motor never performed like I expected it too with boost for some reason. Put a LSA blower on it and made 510 on 15lbs, then I pulled everything off it and NA it made 335 so I don't know what it's deal was, lol. I pulled it out and the truck now has a NA 6.0 with summit stage 2 boost cam and is making 380 NA with A Holley Dominator FI. I've got a pair of BW s359/68's going on it this winter.

My '74 K5 2wd has a VS 7875 on my LQ4/6.0 with a 235/231 630/605 114 Tick cam. Never dyno it, but it runs good (7 psi). It's weird that it doesn't really have any turbo whistle like all my S475 did (even before they are making boost) that was on it before.

I considered going to a S366 since it's not a max effort setup.

A Precision T4 GTS76 Gen1 (1200hp rating) spools well on a 6.2 liter LS setup (Mast LS3 380cfm heads with stock LS3 intake) running a T56 Magnum and 3.31 gears (26" tall tire). Shifting a bit over 7000rpm it comes back on strong every shift albeit with some spool delay. Going to a bigger 88mm T4 (1450hp rating) on the same engine resulted in a little slower spool time... but the top end pull is no comparison as the 88 truly outshines it overall still with a T56 Magnum manual trans. Both are ball bearing and billet compressor wheel turbos ($2K+ each new).
Crossover is 2.25" piping..... dual 38mm Tial WG's into a single 3.5" downpipe. Decent Treadstone intercooler.
