Default Single BW s366 (Step in)

I'm curious as to what your setup is in relation to power and boost levels.

I've got one on my C10 but it's non-intercooled blow through carb. Running about 9lbs right now. It's a blast to drive!! I just about got my dyno setup so should have some numbers in a couple weeks.

Those are pretty lofty goals, probably need to step up to a SXE S369 for that. I've got one of those to try on it too when I get the dyno going. I've got a forged iron 346 going in my 01 GMC this summer too and planing on the SXE S369 from the start.

I think if my goal isn't realistic with this turbo then I will be running the turbonetics 78/75

Can I use the 177104 Turbine housing on the 171702 s475 box to replace the T6 1.32?

Wondering about the 369, have heard it doesn't perform as it should on "paper " on a v8... please keep us informed it does t get much publicity to date.

No, That Turbine housing is for a T4, 83mm turbine with a 4 bolt cartridge mount. The 171702 s475 is a T6, 96mm turbine v-band cartridge mount.

Forced inductions makes T4 S475's by machining smaller T4 v-band cartridge housings to to fit the 96mm turbine.

I will try, On the MatchBot software it's stay on the map decently for the way I want to use it on both the 5.3 and 5.7. If it will make 6-650 comfortably, I'll be happy.

There are alot of other S300 based options that woudl work well I'd think. S372 comes to mind.

Oldgold did well with his aftermarket ETR-HO S366. 11lbs made 538 whp. On a 5.3 though... I believe he said he was running at 16lbs on the street and it was an animal.

My issue with a decked out S300 series is you’ll pay more than you would for the S400 series. Makes more sense with those cubes and goals to go with the S475 IMO. You can go with the small exhaust wheel 1.10 T4 S475 and easily meet those goals.

I also don’t understand the SX-E 369’s claims. Maps show their LBS per min on par with the S475. Yet on a DBrods twin setup they perform poorly when compared to the base cast S366s they replaced. Would be cool to see a direct comparison on a single for sure. Keep us updated!

177104 is the PN of the housing, not the turbo. You’d need to ask him what the compressor wheel size is. I’d assume it’s the small wheel S475. That would work great IMO.

Standard 366 and sxe both use the same turbine but the cast has a clipped turbine which allows more flow. The sxe has more of a cupped wheel to promote quicker spool. With that said I've been 6.39 @ 108 mph with a stock cast s366 on 260ci v6. Took me around 18psi to get it there on a healthy engine. I now have a s467.7 with 1.10 and 83mm turbine in the works (if I don't sell it first). For time being I have a 0n3 70mm until I mock a new hot side.

the Sxe is a completely different turbine wheel... you cant sit there and say they are the same and then start describing the differences between them.

John, can you please elaborate on the differences and how those differences effect flow, power, response, etc.?

Hey now... enough with the proprietary information requests! But I tell you what, a single S366 can flow more then a 417 intercooler!

Stick the opening of it behind a radiator that Doubles the Ambient temp before it even compresses anything 1 psi and see how far it goes.
