If I rotate it more, the an threaded part of the fitting hits the t4 flange on the housing. A straight flange may fit, but looks like it will be so close the compressor housing that I wouldn't be able to get the hose fitting on. A straight hose barb fitting would probably work.

Ah, i see what you mean now.....

it's worth it to try to get it straight and use a hose that's as big as possible if you can.

I think I used a straight turbo fitting......
I'm thinking back to mine and I remember I had to attach my AN fitting to the turbo fitting first, in a vise. I was then able to tighten it just right to align the hex on the AN side so that it would fit between there. I used socket head cap screws to attach the turbo fitting (with AN fitting and hose already attached) to the housing... That way I could get up in there with a ball nose Allen wrench.

Would that work on yours?

That could work but I wouldn' know unless I have the other fitting. I am going to contact viren and see if what I have will be ok. I read somewhere that up to 30 degrees on a garrett journal bearing turbo is ok. That seems excessive.

Viren says get it closer to straight up and down. I ordered a 5/8 barb fitting.

Is it gonna work?
Remember you may be able switch to socket head cap screws and attach it to the turbo in the vehicle.

I think it will work. Was going to find out today when some maintenance on the tdi didn't go as planned.

I made some intercooler pipes out of a box of scrap a friend was going to scrap. The pipe going into the throttle body is a 90 and then straight down about 14" into a silicone coupler. I am paying to have the welding done and I figured I should weld in two 1/8 npt bungs for meth nozzles should I decide I need them in the future. Does anyone have any suggestions for the placement of meth nozzles, ait sensor and bov on this pipe???

I also got the trans cooler mounted under the bed where the spare tire was with a fan, and the oil pan removed, tapped for the drain, and reinstalled.

Nice build. On that drain you can just sweat or weld some thin wall 3/4 l tubing on it. I've used 3/4" pipe copper water pipe and solder. Never had a leak, works great.

This is what I decided for the locations. Should be good? So much debate on iat up or downstream from the nozzles.

I used to have my IAT in the intake, would peg the sensor 38F every time meth would spray. Only real positive of this is knowing that your meth is working. I relocated to post intercooler as I was having problems with it being too cold (68F pre-TB) and the meth would not flash off, causing many melted cylinder heads on my turbo 6.

I did end up having to do this. 1/2 pipe is all that will fit though. Apparently you can't solder aluminum, so I drilled and tapped. The solder won't melt??

Picking up a set of remflex gaskets for the warped manifold. I belt sanded the warped wastegate flange flat, but that didn't do anything for the recess, so probably going to have to get that fixed when it leaks.

Found a local shop to surface the manifold while I wait. Also decided to cut off the warped wastegate flange and get a new one welded on. I have an appointment tomorrow night to get it welded.

Also found a russell fitting 1/2 npt to -10 that should be long enough to replace the copper.

I had an m14x1.5 bung welded for the zr1 (12614717) iat sensor. I didn't realize that the calibrations are so different between the 2. I did ask in the in the tuning section, but no replies. Does anybody know the data for this to make it work on my p59? Otherwise, I can drill it out and tap to 3/8 npt and use 25036751 which should be the same calibration as what is in there now.
