For those that have e-mailed for turbo comparison GT45 vs 76GTS...inside Well I dissmantled a PTE-76GTS and MP-GT45 and did some comparison shots of the turbos. Alot of folks have been asking how this turbo compares to the 76GTS...well here are some visual answers at least.
MP on left, 76 on right
76 on left, MP on right
76 on left, MP on right
76 on left, MP on right
76 housing on left, MP housing on right
Some key points.
The GT45 factory compressor specs are:
2.56" inducer/3.90" exducer.
*The real specs verified on 2 other GT45 units is:
2.75" inducer/ 3.92" exducer
The turbine factory specs are:
3.05" exducer/ 3.46" major
*The real specs verified once again show:
3.11" exducer/3.46" major
The PTE-76GTS factory specs are:
3.02" inducer/ 4.03" exducer
The specs on this unit only were:
3.02" inducer/ 3.98" exducer
The turbine factory specs are:
2.96" exducer/ 3.20" major, and when I measured it, it came out to this exactly.
