I would hardly call my car a bolt on, it's basically stock. And yeah, very likely that it would. Not bashing the car, I love third gen f-bodies in general, had an 86 TA myself. But that car is major mullet, paint job does it in. Still a cool car and also looking forward to some progress.

Haha. I actually like the paint job, but you should've seen it before I got it. Had a stock hood with a riveted on snorkel. If you look closely you can see that part of the hood is supposed to be blue. The black follows the angle that it comes up the nose and meets the other black near the back of the fender. Hell, I'm only a few months shy of 50, I've gotta have some 80's/90's in it. LOL
The draglights will be going away sooner or later.

My whole front end is PA Racing. Let's just say that if I flipped the car on its roof during installation everything would've lined right up and just drop the hardware in. Great stuff and Jason is very easy to work with if anything is an issue.

Nose off for the front end mods, I/C mounting and such.
I have a balancer question. The guy I got the motor from was running it with a single turbo in a C5. At some point the balancer got loose and slid forward enough to rub the steering rack. It's now got 2 pins in it, but the runout on it is just fine. My problem is that it's a corvette balancer and, since I'm planning on running an elec waterpump I need an alternator only bracket. No one seems to make that for vette spacing. Other issues are up and forward headers and stock steering box. What I really need is a low pass side mount. So, I know they make those for f body spacing. I'm trying to decide on buying an aftermarket sfi F body balancer with a keyway and having the crank cut for one or keeping the vette balancer and figuring out an alternator bracket. Opinions?

I would really like to see pics of the driver side down and forward manifold clearing stock alt and steering box! Did you cut the manny back by #1 cylinder primary and finagled the way around?

Got the engine compartment painted with POR15 last wk. These pics are when it was still wet. Looks alot better dry. I only painted to the front of the wheel wells since I'll be doing alot of cutting and welding to mount the turbos and all.

Time for some updates. Progress has been slow because of other stuff going on.
First, I got the Motion Raceworks soft steamline setup on
Remote coil mounts assembled
Bought an Autokraft pan and added fittings for the turbo oil drains
Did the Astro van steering shaft conversion
Got the pan on and all buttoned up
I've done all the clearance mods to get the CSR trans shield to fit on my PG, just waiting on some 90's for the trans cooler lines and a new trans mount and that will be ready to go. Hopefully next weekend I can set the motor and trans in. Then the fun begins. LOL

Oh and I shaved a set of valve covers and I'm gonna paint them tomorrow. I'm using 2 of the oil filler ones because I'm gonna run the billet oil filter caps that have the -10 fitting coming out for a breather setup. The ones in the pics are just the extras

The engine is in. Trans is in, but only held in by the 2 bottom bolts. Looks like I'm gonna have to cut some holes in the trans tunnel. With the CSR shield on the glide, the little spacers and the metal plate move the bolt holes too close to the firewall. Plus you have to use longer bolts. Valvecovers are swapped out and headers on. Working on alternator mounting. Had to notch the block and now the helicoil in the upper bolt hole has to be replaced
