Default First time hitting boost is magical

Been on this build for over a year now. Slowly building the car getting my money together and today for the first time I got into boost. Only 3lbs but I was grinning ear to ear. I'm 22 years old and probably my greatest accomplishment thus far. Built all by me as well which makes it that much more impressive. Here's a few pics and a quick vid getting into boost on the trans-brake! Still a lot more to come, time to get down and dirty and clean everything up now.

Only 3lbs? I remember when I was happy with my first turbo build making 5lbs off wastegate spring pressure on a 4 cylinder. Took that car up to 15lbs sold it bought an SRT4 went with a big turbo and it eventually saw 32lbs consistently as a daily driver. I remember I'd do a few mods and get retuned and be like oh just add like 2 or 3 psi. It's addicting as can be!!!

It's still fun merging on the freeway at part throttle 10ish psi and still running near triple digits.

Well, I haven't driven the car yet. Still have a few things to do before the first drive. I built 3lbs on the trans brake but the sound it made was insane. Coolest thing I've ever hard. Also blew some things off my wall in the garage lol. I plan on running 15+ when it's all done.

Kyle,
Good job man. I wish I could slowly do mine by myself in a garage. I don't have the no-how or the time though.

I'm hoping to have mine professionally installed all at once this year. Hope to feel that boost soon.

Congrats man. I've driven all sorts of different drag and street cars. But when I built my first LS turbo car a couple years ago and drove it for the first time in boost I wondered why I hadn't built one earlier. They are just awesome. Good luck finishing it and enjoy.

Just keep at it bud, your going to run into little issues and "kinks" for sure but fortunately there is a limitless wealth of knowledge at your finger tips with this forum.
I've ran into a few problems that had me scratching my head but the great people on this forum pointed me in the right direction.

Your buddy will really freak out when he finds out the car doesn't have to be the only thing being blown. Of course I jest, as I would have no knowledge of naked car antics.
