Normal locks on C5. C6 is electric.

So how do you open the doors on C6 race cars that have eliminated the factory wiring?

There is a handle on the floor in between the seat and door to manually open them.

There is a key inside of the fob. Use it to open the hatch and there is a release for the fuel door and one for the doors on the drivers side.

I would like to hope that any car with only electrical means of opening the door...that is highly modified to remove all the OEM safety aspects of this, would install some sort of mechanical means of opening the door.

Thats what I'm getting at Stevie. There are tons of 100% race dedicated C6's out there. I'm just not sure how many of them have stripped the entire factory wiring and started over. Yet, I've never seen anyone mention or share what the solution is for getting the doors open. Simply popping the hatch to get to another lever to open the doors is not an option on a race car.

So what gives? A perfect example might be Carlyle's C6. I highly doubt that car has a single factory wire in it. How does he open the doors?

You have a good point about street/strip builds, but I'm pretty confident that Carlyle's car has been converted to manual door latches. As most of the drag radial type late model vettes.
