I'd call that a win in my book. Some fast passes, nothing broke and still placed well. Congrats

Great maiden voyage and car looks awesome! It will only get better from here and you know what direction you need to go in so that is a huge help as well. Car definitely has huge potential there.

Thanks Adam, I shift it at 64-6500. At 106.5-107 I was right at the top of second gear at the eigth (th400, 3.31 gear and 275s). Do the math on that one! The slip of this converter is unreal at higher rpms.

Did I do the math correct on this one. Given your in second gear, don't you multiply 3.31 (rear axle ratio) x 1.48(second gear ratio) =4.899. Plugging that all into the slip calculator gave me 4.337%. That's pretty darn good. But sometimes my math isn't, lol.

Either way the car is moving!

RPM at end of 1/8th? Might give 6800-7200 shift a go to carry it farther into the next gear. I’m having the same issues with the 10” PTC. They really don’t like tall gearing and don’t couple well at lowish RPM. Even with the less than ideal gearing you have now, I bet you can still reach your goal no problem with the boost issue and 60' ironed out.

Thanks and I agree on all points. What to really blow your mind? The tire measures less than 28 even aired up at street pressures. So the slip would actually be less! I've had great results with this "budget friendly" converter. Timing's light at 16 psi (only 12.5 degrees) but I need to grab some new plugs and go test before I make any changes as far as that goes.

How’s your cruise RPM? At 45mph I see about 24% slip at 2k. 2.73 gear.

I honestly want to say I'm at about 2k at around 40 or so. Don't quote me on that. If I get out later, I'll get you some concrete numbers and report back.

Good passes and coming in 8th is great for you first outing this year. It's going to ride now with the boost controller working correctly (maybe even out 60' me LOL).

Don't feel too bad. Your ET was way better than mine after my first 2 outings, but I was able to put down some impressive trap speeds while almost killing the person in the lane next to me. You have a ton of room for improvement even though a 7.0 certainly isn't a bad first outing.

Thanks for all the compliments guys! We'll get it. Not sure I'd ever be able to 60 with that LTD though! When your car 60s like mine did, you just need to have patience.

Once you get that boost control dialed in, she should fly.
Keep good notes so you can make a map of which changes yield what boost level.

Hey 3 window, did you use cast manifolds or buy a log header setup, home built design? just curious doesn't seem like there is much benefit in lower boost levels that aren't full race setups.... looking for some great numbers out of this soon!!
