Just as long as it's an LSX engine it's fine by me.

My take is any 4th gen F-body 93+ with an LSx type engine, LS1, LS6, iron block and even C5R blocks should be included.

i say anything with a lsx series engine. we can have gto's, vette's and even trucks on the list, why not an older Fbody.
the is an engine site not a platform site.

Yep... that's where I got it in the 10's.
Fayetteville has best track prep for test-n-tuners.

BTW, I think Mike just hesitated since he figured a '96 was an LT1 car. I have nothing against the car being on the list and its obvious the car ran what it did - I was there too and seen it.

Dont see the big deal either way and dont think thats what Mike is talking about anyhow. I think he is talking about non LS1 f-body cars being on the list.
That's what I'm talking a'bout.

Let me try to clarify/correct:

My inclination for the LS1Tech Boosted List was, for example:

1998 and up Camaro's Trans Ams with LS1/LS6 Derived engines (whether stock, C5R or Iron)
1997 and Up Corvettes

No one ever asked to post trucks, Buicks or whatever

I'd add the new Goat in there, too.

An LT1 Camaro would not have crossed my mind to include.

I'm not saying I'm closed to any ideas. I'm just asking...

I think any LS1 powered car should be on it. Most truck guys dont post here, they post in the truck section but I have nothing against including trucks also. I would just limit to the top 25 or something (less work to keep track of who is running or not anymore) and as long as its LSx powered its open to all.

I honestly am not that crazy about lists but its a good reference point for people who want to compare their combo's 1/4 mile data with someone else's and any body style doesnt matter as long as the weight is accurate for comparison.

I think LS_ anything is cool and I like how the list is only for that particular year.

LS1 powered in a vehicle that came from the factory with a derivitation of the GEN 3 motor in it from the factory.

93+ f-cars with LSx swaps, should be fair game.

but 3rd gens, RX7's, 300Zs, and even first gen's don't give a good comparison of what the normal LSx motors are good for when boosted. They are lighter, which is going to be faster.

Or here is another idea, have a list for cars with lsx motors from the factory, and then a overall list with everbody with a lsx motor in anything.

I vote anything with an LSx engine...this is LS1TECH, so I don't care if its a
honda with an LS1 in it...if it rolls 8's its still an LS1 that did it...

93 & up F-bodies, Vettes, Goats, SSR's, CTS-V's, trucks and Hummers, anything that came stock with an LS1 based engine (the 93-97 F-body gets an exemption because its so close). No C5R's, its not a production engine. A different list for anything else, or a mention at the bottom like the benched list.

I might be a little bias on this ..BUT LET US IN... Any ways if the ls1's are so much better than we should not even be able to make your list Any ways. Also if it helps i have the 2001 body conversion. So i look like im a new ls1. Or a seperat boosted list for the lt1's would be cool also. I Just wish there was more of us around.

If it it rolled off the factory floor with a LSx it should be allowed.

PS: Update the list

THERE it is! I can gut my LS1 to 1000 pounds and run 8s, but who cares? I could run 6s with a turbo Hon-duh motor, but who cares?

If it originally came with a Gen III, and it rolls with FI, it's in. The rest can find another list. This board stands for Gen III motors. Any moron can run a go-cart with a GEN III motor. Lets make it a challenge by making this boosted list limited to an original Gen III optioned car. What can YOU do with these limitations.

I think if it has a Gen3 motor it should be allowed.

Gen3 motor.. allowed.. Hell, you post year, make of car, and the weight.. so if its a 2000lb 69 camaro drag car.. you'll know it.

Peace,
Josh
