Default Intake for Procharger D1

I'm switching from nitrous to Procharger on my 02 has anyone ran a fast 92 with a Procharger or should I go back back to a 1 piece intake. Thanks

You can run a fast manifold with boost. If you get crazy with the power they can swell and burst. However that's if you pressurize it at a large psi. If you do plan to run super high power go with an after market intake manifold.

i had a fast older style and it had a few boost leaks and was a pita. people have made >1,300whp on stock intake manifolds so I just went with stock ls7. better places to spend money imo on a FI car. if i had one i'd sell it and spend that money on more boost and fuel.

We put a Holley Mid-rise on our TBSS' LS2 with a D1SC. At 12psi it didn't flinch... Probably be fine at 50psi too. Any aluminum intake should be fine.

I know of at least one LS6 intake that cracked internally crack when used with 12 psi of boost, so keep in mind the older factory intakes won't last forever. Bob

its like an awesome reverse intercooler. You take cool air you compress it which heats it up. Then you run it through an intercooler which makes it dense again. Then you run it through the bbk which hears it back up! It's an awesome roller coaster of temperature.

Eh, I know about alledged heat soak. Dunno if I buy it. Tons of intakes still made form aluminum.

I can post the IAT logs from our TBSS if it helps further debunk this nonsense.

The heat soak debate exists to sell composite manifolds.

That's kinda how I feel. Not looking to stir the pot though. Seems like an aluminum manifold that fits under the hood would make a lot of sense.
