Default Thoughts on what the heck my TPS is doing?

Last time I drove my 2010 Camaro SS was in August (single turbo, stock bottom, NW102 TB).

I tried to drive it last weekend and I had some issues which I think was due to a low voltage from battery.

Put on a battery charger and fired it up this weekend. Idle sounded good and a quick WOT pull on low boost on the street felt great.

When looking at the TPS though... it jumps all over the place. One pic is at idle and one is during the run. TPS is purple line at the top.

The NW102 has ~500 miles on it, bought it brand new. Function great previously, not sure it is the problem.

thats a DBW right? Looks like either noise or the sensor is failing.

So I hooked up my stock TB and got the same wavy TPS... so it isn't the TPS

unhooked completely the tps is wavy between 60-100%

maybe a short in the harness?

If it was an intermittent short to either power or ground it should go to zero or 100% not move back and forth by some small amount. I wonder if the computer is starting to go. Is there a reset procedure for the DBW stuff like there is on a DBC?

e38... perhaps the pedal...

another thing i notice is sometimes when the key is turned off, I can hear a clicking on and off really fast (almost like a relay) under the hood for a few minutes.

I see your scanner missed a big spot of data during your run up through boost. I see that too with 3.6.

maybe slow down the sample rate on the tps measurement. Also check your cables for tightness and maybe try a different USB port on the laptop.

Prob should log all the tps/pedal parameters
see if it shows up there as well.

Found the problem!

when I set my scanner up, I used the TPS (SAE) PID.

i switched to scanning just the TPS and all is smooth and pedal all the way down reads 99.6!

Yeah Ron! You were close, you thought it had something to do with the scanner.

This new scanner has some flakey behavior for sure. That SAE pid should work fine.
