Default Just when the weather gets good.....

So I woke up this morning with nothing to do...figured...well...i know the car will run good.... let's go to the track!! Got up, got dressed....threw the helmet in the car and fired it up. Then something said.... better call and make sure they are still running first. Sure enough.... they are closed today. Temp is 45... and low humidity.....ugghh!

Dang that's serious track weather. Were still sitting in the 80s. Mornings and nights are cooling off finally. Good tuning weather.

Yes, good weather for the track... not the best for traction.. but wasn't really going for ET. Was going to roll out a bit before going all in, wanted to see what it would do up top. Cruised around town for a bit and the car really likes this weather, a guy that I wasted last week wants redemption tonight (dig action).... might have to settle for that. I will be in your neck of the woods next month, flying in and won't have the car... so no action unfortunately

Don't you dare trans brake that guy tonight lol. Where are you coming to down south? I was tuning my stuff yesterday and a 5.3 running 17psi and the cars are loving the air that's for sure. Got my driveshaft loop on yesterday so hoping to get to the track within a couple weeks. Our track closes for a total of like 3 weeks in the "winter" here lol.

Nah, won't employ the brake. Will just reel him in, it's a big block car on a 200 shot. Coming to Orlando December the 1st for a cruise. This weather is a blessing power wise.... but it's a curse as far as traction goes. And I'm surprised the track closes at all in Florida.

The tracks only close in California for rain. End of October it was 103 3/7 days this week. What is winter?

Game Ova have you ran the car at the track since going to the 400? I just had mine tuned on E85 and it out down 935 and my next move is to go to a 400 and see what I can get out of it.

My situation is a **** poor example of the difference between the t56 and 400. Yes, I've run it with the 400.... but I was still on the 320 compound street tire. As a result I was still only using about 1200 ft of the track, car went 11.07 @137. I then put ET street R's on it, which resulted in a bent driveshaft and busted rear end yoke.... only made it about 20ft out. When you put the 400 in it.... it's going to blow your mind with how much faster the car is. With you putting down 930, you can rest assured that you have a SOLID 8 second car in your possession. I can't stress this enough.... spend the money on a good converter, yes they are very expensive.... but a bad converter will have you getting walked by cars that you should be beating. Oh, and the 2-3 shift with the 400 under power is magic. And when you are ready, I can build you a NICE 400

Ok thanks! I am doing the 400 next, hopefully be done by the time the track opens back up. Susie about your rear and drive shaft but I'm assuming you were expecting it? Lol

I was actually expecting either the ring or pinion to let go, they were completely unharmed.

Strange. I twisted an axle in two once at the track, stock 10 bolt was completely fine.

The 10bolt isn't near as weak as people make them out to be, especially behind an automatic. If I hadn't have gotten greedy and tried to mat it straight off the rip....everything probably would have been fine with the yoke and driveshaft. Can't wait to see how you run with the 400.
