Here's another quick update from the past weekend.

I installed the cradle and it clears the balancer but there was a small casting nub on the steering rack that was going to interfere with installing a serpentine belt. I decided to go ahead and grind it flush. I'm still not sure what purpose it serves. There seems to be some type of void or something that was underneath it. I didn't want to go any further with the grinding and clearance is adequate now. It's still solid and I cycled the rack to make sure there weren't any leaks.

I'm being told it is a rivet that holds the 2 piece rack housing together. I don't think I should be too concerned. There looks to be enough material left that it will still handle any possible shear forces. It's between the two mounting points for the rack so not much is going on.

Cool, trying to get there. This seems to be a hard time of the year to find any free time.

Hopefully we'll be doing some tuning soon. I'm relocating the car to wrap up the build. There are hours worth of little things left to do at this point, but I've been up till 2 am every night this week trying to knock it out.

Here are some views of the completed turbo kit. I still need to do some tuning to make it drive able and then begin fitting the rest of the body panels.

Thanks! I just checked out your build thread and am very impressed with all of the custom created items. I'm having a little trouble with a start-up tune on this one, but will hopefully sort it out soon and get some vids and seat the rings on this new engine.

Thanks! I've learned a lot over the last handful of years of reading other peoples' thread, and I got to the point where last year I just needed to start my build from a blank slate.

I scrolled up real quick but didn't see... what ECU and tuning setup are you running?

Currently using the stock computer and HPTuners. It fired up from a cold start on the old tune but I have to use the throttle to keep it running. This weekend it died at around 140F coolant temp and wouldn't restart so I think something is off with the tune and fueling. The injectors and MAP sensor are the same, but it has a bigger cam and intake this go round. Also the turbo kit is way less restrictive than the last one.

I want to get it running and break in the engine plus do some lower boost level tuning. After that, I would like to convert to a Holley Terminator X with DBW.

Thanks. Things got off track for a little while but I'm hoping this latest push will get it across the goal line. I don't have near the free time or maybe my priorities have shifted, lol. Either way, I can't wait to drive it again.
