Default LSA Supercharger in 4th Gen

Has anyone put an LSA Supercharger in a 4th Gen F-Body? I was curious if it would clear the cowl?

I measured the one in the shop and my car to see if it would work and it was to tall. Can't remember exactly, but I think the blower was like 11.25" off the valley cover. I can measure it again Monday if I remember.

It’lll fit under the windshield but you’ll need to cut the cowl.

Too bad, for the cost it would be nice if these would fit without cutting anything.

Hawks third gen had a kit that fit the tvs2300 and dropped the k member to keep the wipers iirc

Also the LS9 supercharger is shorter, as well as the Heartbeat supercharger is the lowest profile supercharger they make and also makes the biggest power compared to stock blowers and the TVS2300 I believe. So if you call Hawk they will sell you the spacers, then you can lightly trim and fit it. Just depends on how badly you want to be blown

You can buy the rebuilt lsa ones from a site for like 1300. A lot of them are recalled because of a weak spot in them hence being rebuilt. You just have to piece a kit together. From what ive read total cost is about 3,000.

Did you space the k-member at all? What throttle body is that you are using?

I had purchased the Hawks spacers but decided not to use them. Stock location K-member. Holley Sniper 102 TB with Holley Tb bracket.

Gotcha. Do you think the spacers would have helped minimize some of the cowl cutting and loss of wipers. Do you have any experience win the cts-v lid, does that have a lower profile than the zr1 lid? I currently have a turbo setup I am playing with, but just can't shake the thought of a PD blower and would love to make it work.

ZL1 lid is taller. Has to milled/machined down a bit to fit on a CTS V to clear the stock hood and insulation. The difference is really small but enough it would rub on a V

The spacers would’ve helped, but it would’ve still required modifying the wiper bracket and cutting the cowl (I don’t see my self driving in the rain with that kind of tq).

As far as the difference between all the lids, the ZR1 is the shortest of the 3. The CTSV is slightly shorter than the ZL1 but the ZL1 has a shorter slope toward the rear of the cowl. The CTSV lid has the hoses in the rear where the wiper arm goes. You probably could get away with running a ZR1 lid but with the price of them I’m not sure it’s worth it.
