2 separate issues are being confused.....

1) E85 vs. pump....yes a flex fuel sensor resolves this issue so you dont need multiple tunes/PCM's.

2) valet mode that either limits power or kills power or RPM or something. YES this can be done multiple ways. Even if you cant directly kill RPM, at a minimum you can pull ALL timing and therefore limiting RPM anyways. There are multiple tables that are either referencing RPM directly, or KPA which gets you to RPM anyways, so either way this can be done.

Well, whatever the setting ends up being......I don't care.....whatever really works. I've never done this so who knows what rpm is sufficient.

I need to buy a new 0411 PCM anyway. So I'll be buying the dual flash anyway.

Sop by what you're saying I can use the dual flash PCM for 2 max effort tunes....one for E85 and one for 93 octane in case I'm forced to use it.

Then set up a switch to limit rpm as you describe.

Perfect. That seems to be the answer than.

Standalone ECU. Its only like the coolest thing ever and everyones doing it.

But seriously, there are ECU's out there that do everything your asking about and more.

Some people need to run the stock ECU because of emissions testings, but florida has none.

MS3Pro and Holley are some solid contenders youd want to look at for standalones.

Yes, I looked into all of those. I heard story after story of problems running factory sensors and factory gauge cluster.......

I think I'll be fine with the dual flash PCM....just throw a switch to change tunes. Tune 1-Max effort E85......Tune 2-Max effort 93 octane

Then the whole flex fuel sensor to do my valet/theft mode idea.

More for theft.....and in Miami and Lauderdale....Valet can be 3 times a week. And valet ******** will romp on it if they get in it......even if its just for a quickie while parking it.

I will just carry a gallon of E85 with me like I've done for 15 years now. Best way not to worry about it. I was just wondering if 93 would hurt anything if I did limp it somewhere with just one gallon of 93 in there.

You can use one of these:
Coban GPS GPRS SMS -- Model: TK103A
Amazon Amazon

Installation is fairly straight forward. I installed mine and I can remotely track my car AND disable my fuel pump with my cell phone, even while the car is moving completely shutting her down...although there is also an option to disable it once the vehicle reaches below a certain speed.

Do you have a 2-step? You could set it at say 2000 with the flip of a hidden switch for valet mode.

Still dont understand the need for a dual tune PCM...that was popular way back when, before the flex fuel sensor era started. You have to buy a PCM right? so buy a P59 instead of a 0411 and run a flex fuel sensor. There's your dual tune with 100 more tunes in between your 93 octane and e85.

I thought, F this guy and his valet mode, then I thought about it. I've been f'd by dents and scratches by valets several times with slow cars. Imagine handing over the keys to a fast one... eh eh.

Does that P59 PCM also operate all of the guage cluster like factory as well as everything else.

Hopefully you will be tuning my car......so I'll just do whatever you tell me is best to get what I want.

Exactly.....exotic cars are wrecked and beat hard by valet drivers every single day in South Florida......just takes one little tap of the pedal and its totaled.

And I have maybe let a valet driver park my car 2-3 times since I bought it new 18+ years ago. And only when I can watch them drive it a very short distance, I would never let them drive it far away where I couldn't see what they were doing. Its not something I want to do, especially if it has 1,000+ HP. But where I live....its is absolutely going to happen. Most of the time when I've pulled up to valet places, you can tell them you will park it and offer them a $20.00 and it works. Then you park it yourself and usually right up front where nobody is going to scratch it or dent it. My paint is extremely nice woth no dents or scratches on the sides and I want to keep it that way.

Anyway.....debate is over. It can be done easily in other ways.........so thats cool.

I know, it sucks. And with 800-1000 RWHP......think how stupid that would be to do. The few times I did it, I watched them drive it 150 feet and park it. So no big deal. But if you want to go to some nice places every now and then where a group of friends are going for dinner or some kind of get together...........you valet or you don't get to go there. Just the way it is because a lot of nice places in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami are located in very old historical districts or in places with very little parking./.....so they usually have to park everyones cars the next block over or in a parking area that they rent.

Valet might happen to me 1-2 nights a year.........but the fix I am proposing stops anyone from doing anything to my car. Flip a switch and its done.

*****Another real crappy thing about some very upscale condominiums.....Valet only. In a few places where friends live like this.....I have gotten them to let me park it myself. But I just don't go to these peoples houses very often.
