Default IAT Sensor placement with Methanol

I'm looking for some advice on the placement of an IAT sensor when using Methanol to further cool the intake charge. I will be logging air temps after turbos and after charge coolers with open element IAT sensors but want to know opinions of sensor type (open/closed element) and placement in my Edelbrock pro flow XT. I have a nice position for the injector nozzles just before the throttle body but I'm thinking that open element would be a no go due to the moisture but will a closed element have a quick enough response time to use as my reference for the ECU for normal off boost driving. Any advice much appreciated
Regards Tim

I use an open element sensor in the front of the plenum on a stock tNNBS intake right where the evap solenoid used to sit.

I spray pre throttlebody by about 8" and pre-turbo.

my thinking is that if there's a hiccup with my meth kit, my IAT sensor will see any precipitous rise in IAT's quickly and pull timing.

I am changing to a TMAP soon which will be located at the back of the plenum so we will see how that goes.

If you have to worry about moisture on an open element, then you are doing it wrong. Run pure meth or a mix as you like, but it should be completely evaporated before it hits the sensor. The sensor should be as close to the valves as is reasonably possible (sometimes reasonable still means pre throttle body). If your meth (and/or water mix) does not evaporate completely, it causes a big bog, instead of improving power.
