2-1
My clutch was dragging and the trans was still stock and had enough. It was my second pass on the new L92 at the time as well. I disabled the affected cyls and limped it home. Tore it open that night, diagnosed it, and couldnt look at it for another 3 months. Fresh trans, new clutch, new valves and still going on that set up now. It keeps eating diffs though, time for driver to grow up maybe
Vid of the passes sure would be nice to see

The truck was setup for outlaw 10.5 but they were only going 1/8 mile and we wouldn't have been able to get 1/4 times so we brought our butter knife into promod.

We pulled the engine apart last week and filmed it.
Verdict in, no rods bent, The drivers side bank kissed a valve on every hole which is weird, haha, aside from that, the engine looked happy!

We've done that a couple times too. Winked em all on one build but it ran fine, never gave us any indication there was a problem. XE/XER lobes with duals. Im on the newer softer lobes now, havent done that since even with the super high RPM passes.
You guys replacing the winked pistons or letting it ride?

What are the super stable symmetrical lobes being used these days? From standard companies like COMP. At one time I was told the HUC intake and the “Extreme RPM exhaust” were about as tame as they came. Now I hear there are other more stable options... (Marine lobes were mentioned, but no specifics.)
Apologies for hijack

Righto, thanks. I get the marine stuff isn’t “performance” I was just wanting the laziest most stable lobe out there for street cars running crappo factory valve trains and wanting to push "big RPM" with a small amount of reliability.
Guessing it’s semi relevant with all these SBE guys buzzing 8300+ on the factory stuff anyway.
