You can pull the inserts out and tap them then insert brass NPT plugs. Im pretty sure i did that with an LT1>LS1 swap years and years ago with no issue. The pump was like that when we got it.

Now that you have built a red turbo car, a black turbo car, are you ready to build a white one?
I think my nitrous build is quickly changing direction.
Great job and thanks for the build thread it answered a lot of questions I had.

Shoot yeah, this has been a blast. I got real tired and bored of the old H/C/I routines and was losing interest pretty fast. Its fun to push yourself to new challenges and step out of your realm of security. It makes it all new again.

I bought a couple dorman universal vacuum plug kits. On some of the pics you can probably see all the stock vacuum lines capped, the only one that remains is the rear brake booster line. Everything else is plugged.

Built this yesterday. It comes off the downpipe, muffler is under the passenger seat, pipe goes into the tunnel and dumps right before the rear end. It is significantly quieter then the open downpipe was.

Front suspension and subframe connectors installed. We were able to do some checks, brakes seem good, fans work correctly, trans shifts good, injector data seems incorrect but it is starting and running on its own after a few adjustments. We broke in the gears by running it in the air for several minutes in both directions. Now on to the alignment shop and do some tuning if weather permits.

This car has been being a complete ***. The LC1 wideband hasnt been working. So Ive been guessing at a startup tune just to check for leaks, check brakes etc etc. It appears to be running pretty rich, it was even fouling plugs and the whole works. I found out the GM "flood clear" method absolutely does work. I switched over to an NGK wideband and figured out i had it at a best of 10.5 AFR idle, and it would tank out the wideband at 9 and lower under revs. It was loading up and not wanting throttle. When altering the VE table the AFRs remained identical, which had me stumped. We had some abnormally cold weather here but I was committed to figuring it out.

I pulled the PCM out of my car parked next to it and loaded his injector data and the exact same thing happened, still idling at 10.5 with corrections not responding. I ended up altering the injector data and bam, she started responding to my corrections. I also lowered the fan temp just to make sure they were running properly. They were but they are absolutely dead silent on low standing next to them, so i needed to confirm their automated operation.

So the PCM wasnt the issue, the injector data was. Reinstalled his computer and now we just need this white stuff to go away so we can tune. Tune, seats, and cage coming soon!!!

Yes it was a problem with the minimum pulse and short pulse limit. I was on the floor hitting the set minimums is why it would not go leaner is all i can figure.
The clear flood is simple. WOT while cranking shuts off injectors. Foot to the floor, hold the starter, and the plugs dry and it gets rid of the excess fuel in the cylinders while it cranks.
