Default Quantum 380LPH fuel pumps

Curious if anyone is running one of these pumps-they are about half the price of an AEM 380 pump, not sure if they are just a knock off of the AEM.

Lots of knockoffs popping up in the last 3-6 months.
I'm pretty sure the Quantums were on that list.

Looks like the AEM 380 has been replaced by the AEM 400, same part #. Anyone tried one yet?

I also notice that it now says compatible with flex fuels, but pure alcohol may diminish pump life.

I believe before that it just stated that pump life would be diminished with alcohol based fuels.

My plan was to run 2 pumps anyway, second one comes in on boost.
The second pump would also be on a 3 way switch in case of pri pump
failure. I did this with the Holley 1400 pump.

Grab a "real" pump for constant duty. Use the knock off for quick intermittent bursts on a boost switch. I'd bet occasionally blasting the pump for a few seconds woudl extend the pump life a ton, even if they aren't as good of a pump.

You could cruise around on an OEM pump or something like a single walbro 255. Then use 2 knock off 380's in parallel on a boost switch. I believe (on paper anyway) 2 of the AEM380's in parallel out flow a 4303.

I’m also running two AEM380s. Prior to purchase I called and asked what data they had in regards to pump life when exposed to high ethanol content fuels? The guy I spoke to said they think it would screw em up eventually so that’s why we say that. No real data at all. I’ve had zero issues over the past two years (knock on wood) and run both all the time.

That is considerably less flow than an AEM 380.
The AEM 380 flows a full 100 LPH more at 100 PSI.

I believe thats the flow sheet for the 340lph intank pump. They claim the 380 has the same flow #s as the aem, but im sure its less. Hopefully not 100lph less lol

I would like to update this thread with my findings. I purchased a mostplus 380lph pump off ebay. Here it is sitting next to my aem pump. Note i purchased the AEM pump in Feb of this year and it took a crap a week or so back.

Now while the 2 pumps appear identical, even down to the crimps at the top are in the same locations, they are not the same. The inlet and outlet are metric where the AEM has 10an orb inlet and 6an orb outlet. The mostplus came with fittings for a 10an inlet and 8an outlet however for the time being i was going to use the inlet from the AEM so the csr would be mobile again and im gonna completely change the fuel system with my tax money. But as i stated they are different, the ebay listing is basically a copy of the AEM listing. I have messaged them about their ad being false, we will see what they will do about it

Just thought i would let everyone know, if anyone has the quantum pump can you verify they use a 10an orb inlet and a 6an orb outlet?
