Default LQ4 Blew up last week

I bought a car with a 6.0 LQ4 block with stock crank, rods & pistons. 317 heads, ARP Head Studs, Lil John's Motor Sports Stage II Turbo cam, .660" Lift BTR Platinum Spring Kit, BTR Chromoly Pushrods.LS6 Intake, 80lb injectors, AEM 380 pump, with all new -6 & -8 fuel lines, Snow Performance Meth Kit, RCI 10-gallon fuel cell GT42R Turbo 80mm T4 1.15AR, custom hot side with lower fender dump.
I blew the motor last Friday and was wondering what my options are.
Do I have to replace with LQ4 or can I put any LS in there?

LQ4 = LS , they are all the same family of motors.

I would try to find a either a aluminum 5.3 or a iron 5.3/6.0.

The gen 4 stuff seems to be better but more $$$$$$$. I am not a stock bottom end ( SBE ) guy personally but everyone seems to be after the gen 4 stuff all the time.

I agree. I would be looking for a fully forged short block.

Waste of money until you understand why it blew. No reason to go forged unless you want north of 800hp.

The oil pressure was low and I had taken it to have it changed that afternoon, and that didn't help.
I was hoping that there was something in line or a bad gage.

This is the turbo that is on the car.

So did it actually blow up? Or just lost oil pressure?

Felt like it blew up. Oil and coolant on road. I have not had it on a rack to inspect. I tried to take some pics underneath car, but they don't show anything. Car is pretty low.

if you had low oil pressure, why did you continue to drive it?

You can't really go with a gen 4 because they are 58x reluctor . ( I'm assuming you are gen 3 24x) if so , your best bet is a forged short block with a 24x reluctor wheel. I've seen them for around 4K shipped. Another option turning your your block into a fordged 408 for around the same money.

LPE makes a plug and play 58X to 24X adapter that works really well so going with a GEN 4 is a nonissue.

SO right after someone else touched/worked on your car the engine blew and you haven't done any diagnostic work to see if maybe they did something? You don't really know 100% if it blew because you haven't really looked?

Dude....

I’ve got a 2005 gen IV that’s 24x.
