Default 6.0 LY6 twin 70mm ON3 turbos on an airboat

Happy New Year!

Just want to say thanks to this forum and Sloppy Mechanics for all the information that allowed me to build this project. Thanks to quite a few good buddy's for all their help and Bud Light for endless amounts of liquid courage to push on the the end of completion.
Engine parts were selected for most flow in and out with least amount of restrictions.
specs sheet
Almost New 6.0 LY6 came already broke in (LOL)that I changed to a 2010 Camaro 8qt oil pan, Howards Cam, springs, retainers, locks and deleted VVT. Sheet metal intake with 102mm throttle body. 80lb Dekka injectors, 380LPH AEM fuelpump, aeromotive regulator, all AN fittings and ptfe hoses, twin ON3 70mm turbos with .96ar exhaust housing, stainless Wyntonm 38mm gates and 50mm BOV. Stainless forward headers changed to run in the down and forward position, running on a Microsquirt controller loaded with Sloppy's base tune and final tuning done by me (my first efi project and efi tuning, always been a carb guy) this part was so much fun
15ft Alumitech deckover hull
1st time out boat ran flawless. I wanted a boat that would cruz with a low rpm and run ground without having to be wide open. She exceeded all of my expectations and better than I ever could of imagined. She is tuned for 11lb of boost and makes more than enough power. FYI, the cxracing intercooler is delivering a 20° drop on IATs (in was 78° out was 58°). Not sure what the drop in psi is because I'm referencing from charge pipe after the cooler for gates and from intake for BOV.

Nice clean work. Congratulations. A fellow posted a few days ago wanting to know about cams for airboats. Out of curiosity, what cam specifications did you end up with?

Thanks for the compliments. Cam is a very small duration, higher lift (over .600) turbo cam for a unrestricted application engine and works excellent for this project. Hardly any lag with gobs of power. Very smooth idle also. BL is for after the ride LOL A very fun and capable boat. Marine decking should be on in a few weeks to complete the job.

Sweet project! I have tuned a couple airboats. The approach is slightly different but overall a lot easier than a vehicle with more transients. Who makes the coil covers? Those are pretty slick. Also I dig the water pump fill cap mod. That's exactly how I did mine (with the exception I didnt use the large AN fitting...just a tube). Also, are you putting a fan on the intercooler, or will there be decent airflow to it? Would be cool to see some sort of scoop coming off of it if you needed more flow to it.

Clayton machine works makes the coil covers. No fan needed on the intercooler as the prop pulls a tremendous amount of air across the whole boat. With the boat strapped to the trailer, IATs were dropping 20°. Should be more when boat is moving.

Default Update

Boat has a denmah base tune, tweeked by me and running excellent. Very fast!! 11# of boost 19° timing, 11.5 afr and making what I believe is about 800/850 hp on 93 pump @ 5100 rpm. The question I have is how much more boost can I throw at it b4 getting on the edge? IAT stays below 85° with 80° outside temp. I'm thinking like 15# should put me where I want to be. Thanks for your replys.....
