The vps is a bargain at 800 for what it does. It can be incorporated into almost every system of the car.

Unless you need the display to set it up and configure the analog outputs. That I'm not sure about

Man that car is moving!!! Glad the damage wasn't too extensive, bad *** wheelie though... How much power are you making? I'm just hoping to finally break into the 9s with 900 wheel lol...

Turned up the boost some but it ramped in too fast. As for how much power, don't know as I've never been on a dyno. don't know exactly what it weighs but pretty sure it's somewhere between 3225 and 3250. I push the scales a little, it has a 10-pt mild steel cage and that T6 S485 must weigh a gazillion. Wallace says about 1100rwhp based on the mph. It was a whole lot stronger for that 1,5 secs or so, LOL. I'll scale it when I can get it out of chassis shop jail.

As per Wallace, with 900rwhp and about the same weight, you should run about 8.70. I ran 8.71 @ 156.69, 20psi on a T6 S480/96/1.32 with E85 and way more timing. Let the plugs, not the Internet, tell you how aggressive you can get with timing.

Thanks!! I'm still on stock gen 4 internals so waiting to build a motor before it can really turn it up.. my tuner also suggested with going with a t6 s480 once the motor is built. My goal is 8s this year on the sbe so we'll see... I think I can get there with some more seat time and figuring out the rear end...

Is that a Starlet on the lift?! Always wanted to build one of those. Some weird illness I have, ha!

Slow progress is still progress. Hope you get it ironed out soon!

Good eye. That's a 2JZ/Starlet. Under it is a 2jz/FRS. On the DS of my car is a full chassis RX8 and on the pass-side is a full chassis 2JZ/FB. See a pattern?

So much cool in one place! If it wasn't 1000 miles away, I'd have to check that stuff out.
Love to stuff a 2ZZFE and 6 speed in one as a daily driver.

Bad Apache,

just for you. It's a Corolla not a Starlet, but you use the same big shoehorn and need the same pair between your legs that go clank.

You suck! In a good way, lol. That Corolla is awesome! I bet that's a handful. Now I really wish your shop was closer.
Looks like the Mustang is coming together nicely!

Finally got to make a pass! Car has been finished for a while but life and rain got in the way and 3 trips to the track ended in failures. T-brake solenoid failed, then the crappy ignition switch failed, almost leaving me stranded and a push to connect fitting on a WG failed causing overboosting.

Friday night I started with a 1/8-mile, get-some-data pass to make sure no bits fell off the car and see how some new parts affected performance. I upgraded to the On3 5" I/C and switched to Bosch 210# injs for when I go back to E85. 2nd pass, a hose coupler blew off. Last pass, it went 8.263 @ 169.47 with an agonizingly slow 1.368 60', feeling like someone was back there pushing the car. I'm still tentative about launching the car hard after the massive wheelie and damage and the datalog showed I was not aggressive enough on the footbrake and was only on the 2-step for 2 blips and could only leave with 5.3psi. Normally leave with about 8.5psi or so and cut hi-1.teens.

If I play the what-if game, a 1.19 could have potentially reduced the ET by about .275, but that's coulda, woulda. What's encouraging was that I got PBs for 1/8-mile and 1/4-mile MPH, picked up 33.17 in the 2nd half and had quicker increments from the 1/8-mile on than my quickest ET and it barely tickled 22psi. Getting back to a "normal" 60' and a couple more psi should produce some good numbers.

Sounds very promising. Good luck with it and try to keep the front end down!

Glad to see you running the car again. Tentatively or not. There's a seven in there for sure.
