Default Looking for comments/critiques of build plan

Parts I have:

ls2 block
317 heads
4.8 58x crank
twin s257sx-e turbos
twin 38mm wastegates

plan is:
4.8 crank
ls2 block
compstar 6.300 rods
1.31 compression height +10cc piston 4.005 bore
ls7 lifters
stock rockers
.660 btr platinum spring kit
Btr hardened pushrods
custom turbo cam from cam motion.
Arp head and main studs
king bearings
triple pump setup (1 255lph and 2 450lph)
210lb injectors

questions:

This puts me just under 10:1 compression, planning to run e85. Is this too low? I am planning to run 20-25lbs of boost.

Will the ls7 lifters be ok at 7500-8000 rpm or should I go with a set of Morel or similar linkbar lifters?

Will stock 317 heads be a major handicap? Will a stock ls6 intake be a major handicap? Would a sheetmetal i take be worth it ( I assume itll kill power under like 4k)

Car will be a full weight 6 speed, would like to make 1000whp. Previous owner of turbos made 1140whp at 20.5lbs on a 370.

please let me know of any major concerns or suggestion, Thanks.

Compression is fine for E85.

LS7 lifters are probably OK but if you want 8K RPM, maybe you should consider an upgrade.

317s and LS6 won't be a handicap.

Thanks for the feedback.

I was looking at cam motions site, does anyone think there is a value going to a LLSR setup? It doesnt seem like it will be significantly more expensive than a hydraulic setup. I have heard that they are less intensive as far as shimming intervals compared to a more old school solud roller.

not worth it for a car that will be mostly street driven?

For 8k rpm you may want to look into an intake better suited for that rpm range, probably worth an extra 50hp or so up top but lose some down low.

tr6060 and mcloed rxt is the plan, its in a 5th gen, so probably not going to get launched super hard. Mostly highway pulls in mexico.

My T56 lasted 10 years...and in the end I killed 5th gear ( on 2 boxes 2 weeks apart lol )

If not launching hard, then even a T56 is still a very strong box and if you have it already may as well use it. But a Magnum seems the best value upgrade.

If mostly street use...why downsize with the 4.8 crank ? Even more so when you almost indicate that you dont want to lose torque down low with a big intake ?

Oil squirters can be a good thing too.

The triple pump idea is ridiculous. The only reason to ever do that is when you incrementally keep making more power, and you need more fuel. As an idea for a new build, this is tripling your potential points of failure. Mathematically it is really far worse than that, but I'm being kind. Also, if you are only going to run E85, you may be better off trading the 317s for the higher compression versions (241 or 243, I don't remember) with someone who needs the lower comp heads for a gas motor.

Game, what do you recommend for fuel delivery? Also, if not 10:1, what do you recommend for E85 compression?

I wouldn't do 3 pumps. I would like to think that 2 450s would keep things fed, but I'm honestly not sure of the mathemtical equation to give a definitive answer. Sounds like you are looking to go all out with the build, so more compression wouldn't hurt....11:1 maybe? The thing to remember is, yes... it will run a bit harder.... But you are just that much closer to the ragged edge. Not much room for error.

Honestly its just because I already have it, I'm not opposed to a sheet metal intake, It just seems most of them give up 100+ down low to gain 20 up top. Do you have a suggestion for an intake? Thanks

I thought it was pretty common? Drive around on a 255 then kick the 450s on at like 2psi. This is how almost all of the 5th gen in tank systems are. How would you run it?

Fair point on the heads, I just already have the 317s. Is there a downside to running the 317s vs 799 if same compression?

I think 2 450s are about done at 1000whp. Honestly a pretty budget build. Already have block, heads, and crank. Thought I could put some rods and pistols and valvetrain and run it. Is 11:1 too high for the planned 20+psi?

Really the world is your oyster with intakes....depending what will fit your budget and chassis.

For sub 6500rpm performance....stick with any OEM style of intake.

For say gains in the 6-7k+ range...then perhaps some of the bigger types of intake.

Or if you dont care either way and just want it to look cool...again, take your pick.

I will take a look around, I was an LT1 guy for a long time, then got a 5th gen so Im still learning the ins and outs of the ls world. I assume the cheap ebay $500 sniper intakes are no good?

And of course what many will refer back to when it comes to tests....

Is it all encompassing ? No, Is it real for every application ? maybe not

But still a damn good test...there seem to be so few like it !! Of course there are many other intakes out there too. Really none are diabolically bad, and for most part the OEM styles shine above most of the rest...except if you're heading beyond 6500, 7000rpm...then the bigger intakes start to shine. At least in this test.
Different engine, cam, head combo ?...who knows. I'm sure it'd follow similar patterns though

I recommend that you find one pump that will get you the fuel you need. I won't recommend a brand, because that is very speculative. If you wanted 3x more power than you are after, I would recommend an electric primer pump going to a belt fed pump. As for compression, 10/1 will leave you happy, but it will not max out an e85 ride. How close you want to get to maxing it out is your decision. Believe me when I tell you that the last 10% of power will cost you over 90% of the headaches. If this is a fun ride as opposed to any sort of class killing competition motor, then just bolt **** up and be happy. You can do a rolling burnout at freeway speeds with half the power of most of the guys in this FI forum.
