school me on e85
background of the build - basically stock 5.3, going to have the 706 heads ported for fun, ls9 gaskets, ljms cam kit, vic jr manifold, home built turbo kit using an on3 7875, hoping for whatever power i can make, 700-800 would be awesome.
1. so what are the ins and outs of using ethanol, anything major i should know? you dont have to drain the system if its going to sit for a week or two, do you?
2. pump choice. originally i was looking at using the 4303. also considering 3 of the on3 e85 pumps, which are 320s. would both of these be sufficient to meet my goals? is there a better solution with some room to grow?
3. injectors, originally looking at holleys 120s. or will i need 160s?
4. lines, would a -10 feed and -6 return work? or -8 return?
5. anything im missing? anything else ill need to rethink before i switch my direction from 93/meth to e85?
at this point all ive done is buy a test tube so i can see what their actually carrying. thanks for any imput guys!
2. 700 HP on E85 requires as much flow as 1000 HP on gasoline. Find a 1000 HP pump.
3. See #2.
4. -6 feed/return are enough. Anything more than that is your preference.
5. See #1.
You would probably be good with the dual Walbro 450 kit.
I think 3 pumps will be over kill for what you need. You should be fine with dual Walbro 450's. like this one...http://www.speedinc.com/shop-by-vehi...p-in-tank.html
