Default Twin 6265

What kind of power can I except to make on a pair of 6265's .68 AR. I looking at replacing my stock 6.0L with a forged 370. Trying to decide what internals to put in the 370.

Maybe or maybe not completely relevant to you, but a friend has the same turbos (6265, journal bearing, 0.68 A/R T4) on a 402 stroker, and he put down I believe 670 rwhp on a conservative Mustang dyno, while tuning "high boost" 14psi timing. So likely around 800-850hp at the crank. It also ran a 10.35 @ 135mph on drag radials babying it off the line with a 6spd, ~3600lb car with him in it.

I was going to say 800+ on a dynojet. A lot depends on things like locking the converter on the dyno, etc. I would expect a nice stock crank, cheap forged rod 370 deal to work just fine.

Looks like I better get some larger turbos, With the stock 6.0L I'm at 10.2 at 139MPH. With the forged setup and aftermarket heads Im looking for Mid 8's. What turbos would you guys recommend?

a pair of PTE 6266 or 6766s will support enough power to go mid 7s at 190+mph at 3200lbs.

I think the newer PTE turbos would also maxed out at mid/high 7's, but he is likely dealing with the earlier version 62 or cast 62 due to the 65mm turbine wheel(non CEA) which is basically the same as turbonetics f1-65. On top of that he running a small .68 housing on a 6.0 which I would recommend for a fast responding manual car, but not a stalled auto.

This is the closest I can find for the turbo's I'm using. They don't make the 6265 anymore.

What is the raceweight of the car and how hard were you pushing the current turbos?

I highly doubt that. My truck is 4300lbs and runs 5.7 @ 123mph with 6766s at 28psi. On 38psi it makes another 280HP over 28psi.

The turbos you have might just get you there if you get the 60 in check. You are not out anything to try them and upgrade down the road as another t4 should drop right in.
