Default 6.0, S480, Glide in a 65 Nova build almost done

figured I'd share my turbo build now that the car is almost done

65 Nova I build last year with the LS swap. was a LQ4 that eventually got a LS3 top end, 4L70E, holley dominator, CBR front suspension, other misc. Beat the crap out of it for 6 months and it was time for a tire and boost

new updates:

similar motor:
gen III 6.0 block with gen IV internals (LY6 imposter)
LS3 heads and intake
LJMS cam

S480 from FI
JGS gate and BOV
TBSS manifolds
DIY piping from Columbia river (stainless)

1.80 glide with a brake

Mini tub, explorer 8.8 (shortened)

packing a t6 turbo in a stock front clip wasn't easy but it turned out pretty good. happy with what I was able to (hopefully) make work. goal is to fire it up next weekend and see what it's capable of in mexico

Thanks. 9-10lbs for normal driving. 14-15lbs with meth. All depends on what my 450lph fuel pump will allow

Something I've wondered for a long time is how do we deal with water splashing from the road onto those ultra-low exhaust tubes, which undoubtedly reach 500*F+. Do/will you be taking any steps to protect it and if so how/what will be done?

Also I took another look and the downpipe on your setup is very close to the valve cover. My downpipe goes the same way and reaches 550*F Just at idle after an hour highway drive it steady state there, the valve cover reaches 400*F because of it. Which I feel is too hot. I've seen some vette owners have a fire there from it. So I am wondering what we can do about that; I was going to make shields but I can't tell if you have enough room so I am curious how you plan to deal with it.

Haha, 235/60’s from 2001 weren’t cutting it below 70mph. Car has already put in some work but now it’s a little more dedicated to the gap train

The downpipe is now wrapped and since it’s a couple inches away from the coils, I’m not worried. May make a splash guard in the inner fender but we’ll see how it goes. Plenty of sheet metal laying around

I remember when I had a 64 Nova that there wasn't much room to fit an intercooler. What are you doing for that?

trim the bottom of the grille. 3" core cooler fits just fine.

What size are they? Im running 18x9s on TCI front clip, aint shyt clearing that route. Its lookn like a split downpipe at best. Got frustrated and took a lil break on it. Everything has been fighting me going turbo because of this "pro touring" theme.
Anyways, your car looks great n i bet is gunna be alot of fun. Ehat kinda hp you think she gunna put down?

17x7 for the front

Will be happy with 650ish on 92 octane. Not a max effort deal so should be attainable. Honestly wil turn it down a bit for normal driving. Car was a blast to drive with 400hp. Be a little sketchy at this point, lol
