Turbo Ls1 Misfire
I just recently finished the build on my 99 Camaro. Its a SBE Ls1 with a vs 7875 and a truck manifold hotside. I am having an issue with a random misfire that i can't figure out. We think it is cylinder 1, but it isnt showing up with a DTC. The only reason we think its that cylinder is the primary was 100* colder than all the others. (190-210 as opposed to 300-320) So far i have checked the following:
Coils
Plugs
Wires
Exhaust leaks
injectors
injector circuits
fresh gas and filter
New o2 sensors
I am stumped with this one. Does anybody have any ideas on where to look next? or have had the same issue?
1-148
3-180
5- tbd
7-tbd
2-152
4-150
6-150
8-148
like i said ill get to 5 and 7 tomorrow or Friday when I get time. If they all check out I’ll be looking at coil harness and pushrods next.
i finished the compression test test and everything checked out. I smoked the vac system and found no leaks. I did a leak down test and each cylinder was 10-15%. I pulled the pcm connectors off and found some corrosion on the terminal that houses a pcm ground. I thought “aha, this is it”. Cleaned off real well with contact cleaner and put it back together. As of today the problem still persists.

To me, a cooler exhaust temp means poor ignition (atleast that would be where I start).
