Suggestions for SC for 417ci LS3
I thought the Manguson was a TVS2300 and the kit is about $7500.
But you say "install the SC'er. Then install the heat exchanger", so you seem to be suggesting bare-bones components and a heat exchanger which is separate from the SC and not integrated into it.
Perhaps you could provide links to the parts or someone's setup.
The primary goal is to build it myself; my garage is very well equipped, even with a hoist. Still a kit would be nice as I have to keep 4 cars track ready and spend many weekends road course racing, as does my wife in her car.
Oh, and a 24 Hours of Lemons car and Lemons races.
Again WOW to everyone sharing their knowledge and experience here. I'm learning a lot and now better understand the benefits of the Centrifugal SC.
Thanks so much!
The heat exchanger is like a radiator, they look identical. It mounts inside the front bumper. You can attach electric fans if you want to.
The intercooler is built into the SC;er itself. Water runs into the SC'er and then out of the SC'er....with a water pump. It never stops circulating. The heated up water leaves the SC'er and travels through a hose to the heat exchanger....then the water returns to the SC'er at a cooler temp. The water travels through the SC'er's intercooler again and carries heat away.
Its no different than a regular radiator in all of our cars......water runs through it and then returns to the engine/heads to go pick up more heat to carry away.
Its very cheap......the top of the line heat exchanger and lines is about $500.00. But you can also install a sufficient heat exchanger kit for $150.00 including the coolant lines.
Its way too cheap not to use a heat exchanger.....E85 fuel or not.

Since you imply a low $4000 complete price, does someone have a price list and source for the bare TVS2300 and whatever intake manifold it needs for an LS3? I do see e.g. an LS9 heat exchanger on ebay for $200.
Of course, the near-consensus here is that a ProCharger would work better, especially for traction reasons. Hmmm.
Honestly
I'm sure you wouldnt be disappointed with a good setup of any boost option though. It's all addictive.
I already have an ATI balancer and key'd crank which should make it easy to add the required pulley.
Another question:
Q - Does the 411 PCM work well enough assuming a 2/3 bar MAP sensor? Which one works with the 411? Or should I first switch to the Holley Dominator?
I'm looking at some very complete D1SC kits for the C6 at $6744 (Texas Speed). They put the SC on the passenger side so that I don't have to move the alternator, but I suspect the tubing is completely wrong for my car. But if I ever move it to my C6 I would have all the parts.
No idea how someone quoted $4000 for complete setup.
I will post in the Gen-2 forum too as a few there have ProChargers on LS engine swaps. Someone there also built an extreme 441ci LS7 with 750HP which is also tempting. (Needed a dual throttle body intake manifold and of course a very big cam.)
