Installed the Procharger kit got everything all bolted up and noticed the belt rubbing against the water pump pulley has anybody else ever had this problem ??
i never had that issue when i was running the sdce kit . Is everything spaced out the way it needs to be , i can only assume you bought the kit used.
yea I bought the kit used and from the instructions and knowledge I have all the parts are correct size and in the correct place *but obviously somethings wrong lol*
The normal pulley from Procharger is 7.65" SDCE makes their own at 7.25" so the "ramp" of the belt doesn't contact the water pump.
is there a way to correct this issue without changing the Procharger pulley ? Can I just use another water pump pulley or will I need to change out the whole water pump
You'll have to replace the entire water pump to change the pulley. I've seen people get the stand off nut that's to the lower left of tensioner pulley machined and add a small idler pulley to deflect the belt down to miss the water pump.
I have a complete offset ls2 corvette pump that comes with the asterbracket kit that I could sell if needed. The thermostat housing bolts were tapped to bigger size due to one bolt snapping at 11ft pounds. Should be zero issues
