Default Redline Motorsports ???

Hello All,

Does anyone have any experience with the Redline Motorsports LS1 turbo kit? I have searched the archives, but found nothing. Any experiences, good or bad with their system would be greatly appreciated!

Regards

I don't have any experience with the kit nor do I know anyone but one thing I don't like about the design is since the turbo is mounted where the battery went, the downpipe runs under the K member and is the lowest part of the car. That would kinda scare me so thats why I am not looking into the kit, I am just going to build my own and get an alternator relocation kit and mount the turbo down there liek the TTi or QMP kits. Thats just my .02 cents.

The DP like mentioned above runs under the k-member. If you hit a pothole or large speedbump, kiss that DP goodbye.

Scott Hail (owner of RMS) is very knowledgeable and extreamly nice.............. i would suggest if you have a question to just call him up.. They seem to be getting great numbers and from what i have seen in the pictures clearance isnt a problem or no worse than the TTi race kit... i have to admit i am bias, RMS is and will be doing my set -up..

Thanks Keith!!!
Can't wait to get started on that BEAST!

FYI for everybody who wants or is thinking of getting one or even questioning the RMS kit here are some things to think about. We have over 10K miles on our first kit with NO damage to the DP and it's even lowered too...the lowest part runs under the front wheel and then tucks back up. HOWEVER, we have decided to run burns oval pipe there instead for the people who like to jump speed bumps and such.

How could you not love seeing that beautiful turbocharger sitting in front...it's AWESOME! If you don't then your nutz! Mounting the turbo there gives it clean cool air and enables the IC piping to be a full 3" all the way through unlike other kits small pipes... You will also not experience blown turbochargers after 500, 1000 or 2000k miles either with our kit because no oil POOLS around the seals like other kits do b/c of their mounting position and lack of of ability to solve it. Oil feed and return is criitcal to the overall life of the turbocharger and your investment and ours is great!

AND As far I know and I have looked at most of the LS1 Turbo kits out there...no other bolt on kit has made more power than the RMS kit has made on 11-12psi with no water/alcohol or methanol injection...and COMPLETELY STOCK ENGINE (not even pushrods or springs). And our LS1 Turbo kit Graphs speak for them selves....HUGE! 618 rwhp and 704 rwtq.

Thanks
Scot

When ever I'm done being poor, Redline will be doing that Turbo Kit on my Trans am.....I've seen and ridden in their Turbo Z, that car is insain, no problems what so ever (that i currently know of)

Scott knows what he's talking about and I trust him, If you have questions about turbos i'd ask scott....

Thats my Final decision
