Anyone here have an ATI LS1 kit that puts out 15+psi???

I know that the FMIC will make a big difference, but I just wanted to know if anyone with a ATI LS1 D1-SC kit on there F-body has achieved the 15+psi threshold yet with the stock twin IC's? I just want to know if I am missing something, somewhere.
I figured I would be at 15psi or past with the 3.4 pulley, SDCE 8 rib set up, huge filter/hardpipe combo, but I am seeing only 12-13psi at the most
Never knew it would be this freakin hard to get 15psi out of a S/C thats rated for 32psi lol![Bang Head](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_banghead.gif)
Anyone?

Looks like a no so far, this sucks. I just hope with a FMIC I will get past 15psi. The dyno guy said my 9.1-1 is like 8.1-1 up here at 5600ft thats why my power levels are real low

Blue, I don't know, I guess try the FMIC and a 3.2 and occasionally overspin it.

Mello, FMIC= Front Mount Intercooler
Bos, looks like we are seeing the same boost.
Mean LT1, yeah its a given the small twins and all 8million feet of intercooling pipes, and connections do pose a restriction at higher boost/hp levels. We will really be able to see how much when bos gets his on. If he makes more boost, then the twins were restricting airflow.
I rev the car to 7100, shift at 6800 with a 7.250cp and 3.4s/c pulley it's working at its max 62000rpm (62094rpm@7100)(59450rpm@6800)

It is our small *** intercoolers........... look at the vett's with the A&A kit. They are making almost 600rwhp on stock bottom ends with less then 8 psi of boost and a big FMIC. How do mustangs make 600-700 rwhp with the D1-SC with low boost? The same way a larger Intercooler. I called ATI yesterday to order the piece on my car were i had the boost leak last time on the dyno and i asked them were there small intercoolers peaked at........ They told me 650.... fly wheel horsepower...... so a littel over 550 rwhp........ they said you can make more with them but its past the efficency of the IC. It has to be them...... Jeremy is spinning his so high and Bos is spinning his to.... 52,455 rpm's (3.4" pulley) shifting at 6k rpm's and seeing 10-12 psi and we will see what i do next week.... made 7 before spinning the blower to 54,629 (3.7" blower pulley) shifting at 6800 rpm....... we will see..... im ordering a FMIC anyways.......
Heres some other info..... I know SILVER BULLET ran his 9.76 seeing 12 psi from the MMS crank pulley..... and a 3.85" blower pulley and a 224 cam.
He PMed me and told me he just finished installing the SDCE kit with the 3.4" blower pulley and a bigger cam.... a 232/236. Im going to PM him and se if he has any results yet and how much boost he saw. whats the diameter of the MMS cank pulley again... damn i owned one and dont remember.... 7.85???? Thats about right..... if he was shifting at 6500 rpm's he was seeing 54,338 blower rpm's and he said he was seeing 12 psi... right what BOS was seeing..........

Yea, I think if I put a 3.2" on I would see at least 13 now.....maybe 14 if I'm lucky....
My cam is hurting me due to the fact that I can't even spin the blower to its max....I originally wanted to spin it over max

Damn I need to get this IC's sold, a FMIC looks to be the missing link. The s/c is putting it out but it just isn't making through the damn twins

I recieved a PM from SILVER BULLET. He was shifting at 6600 rpm's so he was spinning the blower at 55,174 rpm's........ a little more then us and seeing 12 psi.

Yea, he was making around 575rwhp and 702rwtq with the TH400 setup....
I hope for some #'s close to that after I slap on that FMIC.....probably won't hit it w/my weak *** cam though....

After messing around with my vortech with and without my intercooler this last week, I'm pretty curious how you guys will do with a bigger FMIC and better piping.
Right now I'm not so sure you'll see the huge boost increase your hoping for. But I hope I'm wrong! I'm looking forward to the results either way.

its a friends car, 98 or 99, i forget. makes 14-15psi which is pretty good for a 383. i wonder if you could just get some custom intercoolers made a little bit larger and put them in the same place?

Not likley about keeping the fog lights....... the bumber support is what holds the fog lights and it has to go if you want to mount a Intercooler in the same place as those pics...... ive taken my whole front clip off and bumber support...... they wont fit......
