Need help with F1A air filter set up

Default Need help with F1A air filter set up



Have the F1A installed along with aster 8 rib set up but having some clearance issues. I called Bob at Brute speed but I haven’t been able to get a hold of him just yet. Does anyone have any experience with this set up? I’m thinking of cutting the radiator shroud but still not sure that enough space for the tubing to clear to route the air filter any suggestions???

Normally there is enough clearance to install the truck inlet hat. How much added clearance do you need? Bob

i just saw on the website ordered the Truck inlet hat I think that is curved at the right angle to clear?

It should clear with the truck hat but then the standard inlet hat should clear as well with an F-1A. Bob

Move the radiator into the ac channel (recommend) With a F1A you can for sure get a truck inlet on there. I bought one from Bob for my F1C plus built one of my one with a Spectre fabricated 60 (shortest radius bend I could find) as a start. Put a regular radius Spectre 90 onto that rolled to the drivers side then a filter.

One day I got careless pulling into my driveway straight on and too fast, ruined all three pieces. Then I put the truck intake back on until I built another one.

Now I'm converting to a Precision 76/75 Huron AC T4 kit and 4L80 because apparently I have a wire loose or maybe a dozen!

Truck hat fit ...but I still had to cut the radiator shroud a bit

Your going to want to upgrade those band clamps. To locking style. A few drives an it will be loose if not come off.
