Default ls1 alternator relocation bracket belt issues

I have the on3 bracket they send with their kits and belt keeps coming off the crank pulley by one rib towards the front bumper. messed with the alternator all day yesterday got it to where the belt was staying on at idle but went for a short lap around town like 3-5 minutes came back and it had jumped over the pulley a rib again. ideas? with just the bracket and spacers they sent it set behind the crank pulley around 1/4" I've brought the alternator out with some washers and it's now flush with the crank pulley but still having the same problem. ideas?

I would shim it out a little further.... If you can. If not trim one rib off the belt with a box cutter and new blade. You can roll it like that until you get it figured out.

I had a similar issue when I tried to run the "Big 3 Racing" high mount alt relocation bracket. I had to trim my 6 rib down to a 4 rib belt. It worked just fine, just hated that it was not fitting properly. I switched over to the CBR relocation bracket and the fit was perfect out the box!!

it looks like cbr removes the idler pulley by power steering too? so its just alt, power steering, crank n water pulley is that right?

shredded the belt yesterday going down the highway so im definitely wanting something else

I kept the pwr steering idler pulley too due to my turbo placement. The belt size you will need is a 780K6 if you go to a belt specialty store. If you go to a regular parts store... The belt I am using is a BANDO 6PK1980.

Thats if you are running stock alternator pulley, stock sized crank pulley.
