Thanks. Seems like the oem pcm will be the limiting factor, although I have no need to go over 7500 so I should be fine

I am running 7.7/7.8@180-181 1/4's and been 206mph with a gm 24x reluctor. Not the billet. Its been good to me for two years straight.

From personal experience the only time Ive had issues in the past was timing control with my previous 0411 at 7,500-8,000 rpm. I ran my car for 6 months up to 7,500 without issues. Id run it out to 7,8-8,000 and pop headgaskets within seconds. 25-26 psi and 15 degrees, 12 degrees, 10 degrees ... didnt like those rpms. That is the issues Ive seen. Rpm more than power with the factory gm units.
Just to confirm... Did the head gasket failures go away when you switched to the MS3?

Thanks!

The ms3 Evo has been great. I havent had a single issue. I rev the car 8,200 on every pass. It has an edelbrock pro flo, hydraulic roller, and sort of hits a wall there so I dont take it any higher.

wow.. 8200 with a hydraulic roller is impressive!

Was your previous OEM computer a 1998 ecm? Would you say the limit was 7500, 7700?

Thanks, I was hoping it was a 98 because I thought it might give me a little more leeway since I'm using a 2000

Amazing numbers! Would you still not hesitate to run the OEM 24x reluctor wheel? I'm having an engine built and the builder asked if I wanted to do a 58x instead of the 24x and I said no; I've been worried if I made a bad decision. I went 24x because the Holley efi 24x package I bought comes with the multec 2 harness which is what I need
