Default Wrap AND Ceramic Coating?

Looking to get some opinions....

I've got the Huron Speed V3 AC kit going on the ride right now (side note: beautiful kit, and Jon has been knocked it out of the park on the customer service front). Not too crazy of a build - shooting for mid-600's on pump gas. I opted for the ceramic coating, which looks really nice.

I'm curious as to if I should still wrap any parts of the kit due to heat concerns. The headers are already on the car in the engine bay, so I'm probably not going to pull them back off. That said, I was thinking about wrapping the rest of the hotside (connector and downpipe), since they are so close to the radiator. With the pusher fans AC condenser still in place, I'm a little worried the car will get a bit hot, and these are the parts closest to the radiator.

Anyone run a similar setup? Any opinions?

I can always pull the hot side back off and wrap it later if things are a little warm - just wondering if anyone else has some input.

Thanks!

I have a v2 twin kit from Huron on my 99 camaro. I had the entire hotside coated and then wrapped everything before installing. I figured it couldn't hurt, plus it's way easier to wrap on the bench. Been driving the car alot the last 2 summers with no overheating or melted wires. No regrets here.

There's definitely a piece of me that regrets not wrapping the headers before installing them.

I'm probably going to wrap the connector and downpipe. If it runs hot, I'll take the headers back off and wrap them later....just in a time crunch at the moment.

Thanks for the input!

Years ago they did an under hood test on temps. They first did a temp. with bare headers,
then coated them and redid the test. Temps showed a sig. temp drop with the coated headers,
so bet that and a wrap, cover, etc, it would def help.

So I went ahead and wrapped the crossover pipe, J, and downpipe since they were still off the car....figured it couldn't hurt.

If I have any issues with heat in the future I can always take the headers back off and wrap them, too.
