whos made big power on a t4 and small down pipe?

Full weight f body 3750#, leaving in vacuum on an 80 degree night. 3 inch DP and China turbo.

Was it not some 10 years ago MM made in excess of 1k on a T4 ? PT88

It's nothing new what can or cannot be achieved. Obviously if you opt for Chinese turbos they will almost never be as efficient as a proper turbo so of course it will make less power

Even here, some 7 years ago

there is no question in this thread. i just thought it would be an interesting discussion, and a way for people doing research to see what the smaller t4 turbos are capable of. like previously stated. some people cant physically fit a borg warner turbo or a 5 inch DP. i would just like to hear from more people who have made good numbers,dyno or track times, from a t4 turbo such as the 7675 precision or on3 7875.
I know a guy who has a 1st gen s10. On his first go around, his truck had a 1st gen PT76 T4 on it. He didn't have much of a down pipe on it, it had the exhaust out the fender, but on a 5.3 his truck went into the 8's. I won't call him out on here, but he is on here.

PT88 usually has a 4" DP and can do pretty good numbers on a smaller motor with a lot of lag ~5K plus full spool. So, it's a good track turbo.

Most of the small frame T4s and 3" DP end up around ~800rwhp full tilt. Maybe a little more with E85 or Methanol or closer to 900 through a 6-speed. 5.3 or 4.8 would do better with those turbos relative to back pressure.

If you want 600-800 to the tire, a 7675 with a 3" DP will do the trick. If you have a 5.3L, it'll be more efficient in doing it and still spool up quick ~full tilt around 3800-4K.

700 whp here with a cast wheel Turbonetics T7875 full 3" exhaust with an electric cutout under the driver floor board through a T56.
Stupid simple setup that's performed beyond my expectations honestly, its now to the point that a Gen IV 5.3 is gonna go in and we're gonna see how far this little dude will go.

Engine setup has alot to do with power but as mentioned numerous times..you going to see an average from 6-800hp from t4 turbos and 3" dp. mainly because so many of us are just running simple mild builds as street/strip cars. These arent max effort combos looking to make big numbers..just to say you ran a high number on the dyno. Within the 650-800whp range most of us are quite happy with the performance and run decent times. Being auto or manual is a variance to account for also.

Anyways my numbers are in my sig with rear cutout open at 15psi pumpgas and a water/meth splash 50/50

Precision GTS76 (T4 rated at 1200hp) Gen1 with a 3" downpipe into a 3.5" exhaust went 9.30@162mph in a 2900lb FD RX-7 with T56 Magnum and 6.2 liter LS setup maxxxxxed out. In reality 3100lbs with driver..... pump $2.50 e85 conservative timing

Running a T4 Precision 88mm turbo now and have to pour in more power to see what it'll do. Tons left on the table.... 163mph so far! Goal is 170mph+. Has a 3.5" downpipe into a 3.5 exhaust dumping behind the rear axle.
