Default Need insight on issue with A&A C5 Zo6

I had the car tuned on the dyno last week and it made great power at 655rwhp on 7.8lbs. Car is speed density tuned on 93 and meth with 16 degrees of timing. It drove perfect the day I drove it home. Last night I drove it and it had a bit of a lean stumble when driving around. A/F settled out when i was constantly on the throttle but as soon as I added more it would go lean really quick then catch itself and drive normal.

A/F was fine under boost, meth was spraying no issues there. Got home and it wanted to die. It would drop to 500rpms and hang there dead lean. Eventually it corrected itself and idled fine. I pulled it into the garage and popped the hood and saw coolant out of the reservoir. No smoking, normal oil pressure, no milky colored oil on the dipstick. I also didnt see the temps ever go over 200.

What is the first course of action? My plan is to pull plugs tonight. Could the reservoir cap be the issue or does it sound like it lifted a head?

Heads/cam/fast 102 with vortech s trim
11.45 compression cometic .040 head gasket and ARP bolts

If you lifted a head at 8psi, it would be near miraculous. I'd look at the M.A.P sensor first, and go from there. As for the coolant, might check the cap.

I would check your methanol system to make sure it isn't siphoning on idle or when letting off the throttle and pooling in the charge pipe.

Do you have a check valve to make sure it won't siphon when pump pressure is less than 10 psi to stop siphoning? That little item not included in my kit caused my engine to hydrolock and drive a rod thru the block (12k to fix VS a $30 check valve that should have been included and installed).

As for leaking out the overflow reservoir - while on the dyno my Procharged 98 blew a head gasket. It blew the cap off the overflow tank at only 6-8 lbs of boost when it blew. When that happened CR was still LS1 stock CR. Hopefully you don't have a head gasket leak. Might want to pressure check your coolant system. I replaced heads with lower compression heads - 68 cc.

I would also check that all 8 cylinders are firing. If you've got a fouled plug or jacked up coil or wire, unburnt fuel will look lean on a wideband.

I pulled all of the plugs and they all looked fine to me. No signs of detonation. 2 of the wires didnt feel completely seated when I took it all apart. The MAP is screwed down and feels secure and I couldn't find any boost leaks. I snugged down a few of the intake manifold bolts that took about a half turn.

I fires it up and it seems to be completely back to normal. I will take it for a ride tomorrow and see how it is.

I had to start it for a minute to move it in the garage before I pulled the plugs but here are one from each side. The white on the tip wiped right off I'm guessing from open loop rich conditions

Just to follow up, found a bolt on the fast that was just sitting there. So as it heated up and air was forced in a vacuum leak was created. Tightened it down and the issue is gone. Easy fix for once in my life.

The FAST bolts can back out. Might be worth throwing a little RTV sealant on them or blue loctite. Nothing too crazy since they don't require much torque and are pretty small.
