Dumb D1SC question

I love asking oil change questions. So basically I've got 350 miles on my D1SC this fall and might hit the 500 mile break in mark, but I don't expect to drive the car much more than that (weekend cruiser) before I tuck it away for the winter. Looking for opinions on should I change it's oil before storage or after storage? I'm leaning towards after so I fire it up with some fresh oil.

I wouldn't. They usually state after the 1st couple of changes when new you can go 3-5k miles to changes it, and some say every 5-10k miles.

You can wait till the 500 mark it’s good oil. I change mine in the spring before I use my car more regularly.

Procharger says 500, but it'll basically be hit 500 miles then pop it in the garage for 5 months. Guess I just had some concerns around essentially the brake in oil sitting like that.

In this procharger interview he says they recommend every 6000 miles and could go longer. The oil change interview discussion starts about 6:20 into the video.

I'd change it before you store it, that way in the Spring you know you're good to go. It's for piece of mind if nothing else. Bob
