F1R with 12 rib?
F1R with 12 rib? Looking for some advice/input. I have the opportunity for a great deal on an F1R headunit. I have a set of 12 rib blower/crank pulleys, and am wondering if anyone has been able to install this on a 4th gen with a 12 rib setup?
From my understanding the F1R is a deeper? Headunit than the other models, does anyone know roughly how much deeper it is?

First of all, on a 4th Gen LS F Body, the head unit has to be a reverse rotation. If this F-1R is not a reverse rotation then don't buy it.
You wouldn't have room for 12 rib pulleys unless you do a lot of modifications, it is not worth the hassle that would be involved. You can run the Aster 8 rib combination that I sell with an F-1R. Unless you are looking to run more than 16 to 18 psi of boost, I personally wouldn't run an F-1R. An F-1A can make 18 to 20 psi on a 408 and it doesn't use up as much hp to produce the boost. Bob
