Thanks INTMD8, were you having issues of running hot? What was the issue with Evans coolant? We have a local with a Darton 418 that has the pump and evans coolant and he runs hot...but reason is unknown at this point...just curious what you found with it.

Yeah, I tried it back when my car was naturally aspirated. They recommended not using a thermostat, so it took a long time to get up to temp, and it also ran at about 230+ degrees. (It ran at 180 with dexcool).

Thanks for the feedback...we are using a newly designed Evans Stat, but that may not make much difference. Again, that may prove to be valuable info. What were your oil temps when using the Evans coolant, do you remember?

I never measured the oil temps, I just figured getting the coolant temp back down could only help it.

FWIW, we use dexcool and the stock waterpump with our darton sleeved 427's and no issues to date.

If I had to do it over (which I hope not to soon), I would use the stock pump. I was "edumacated" by a stiff proponent of the evans pump. Okay, its Sunday.. hope to start a promising thread monday with some type of results. Chris, if you read this, feel free to remove the weep hole plug in the pump and use Dexcool .

Noyz - dont I know it. I remember the days I hoped to have you help me install this kit on my lift..I beleive we tentatively were scheduled for Janurary...and here it is July.

Trans...not blocked on my end.

All I have to say is "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."

Converter wont hold the power of the turbos.
