So I think hoping for 790 on a DIY pump gas build with a different turbocharger is probably being a little hopeful
Im not hoping for 790. As a matter of fact I kinda hope it wouldn’t be that much. I’d definitely be running out of fuel injector and pump at that power level. Not to mention my drivetrain would be screaming for mercy. I think 100hp less would be more realistic. But I do have a bigger engine, bigger cam and on the heads I’m not sure. Mine flowed a little over 300/225.

Not sure race gas is of much advantage at that boost, maybe some because more timing could be ran.

Race fuel will make more power. Race fuel will allow timing to be optimal...that yields more power. Their tuning will also undoubtedly be better, simply because they can easily optimise things.
Their BW turbocharger will be better and more efficient than any chinese copy and the 480 will move more air anyway than the 7875. There are just numerous items where their setup will offer more power ( albeit on a smaller engine which naturally will offer less power )

It would have been good for them to have run the tests with pump fuel as well though, seeing as they did drop the CR a little and it was more or less a basic build to start with. Plus to give some sort if idea how much difference there might really be, but even on pump with their lower CR, they would have been able to achieve more timing than a stock CR build, so probably more power available...although again that'd be another test !

Really...they should do a weekly show for this sort of stuff lol

No idea, but again it would make for an interesting test.

I'd like to hope that a genuine BW would outshine the Chinese clones everywhere on a size for size comparison.

Is it a BW clone or pte clone? I haven't seen it, but packaging wise, pte version would be much smaller. I would also be curious on power. I know the old version 1 pte 76/75 was a pretty stout unit.

The compressor looks just like the pte 76
