i've run a twin set of precision journal SC61's before and didn't mind it - just seemed a little slow to spool. that setup was a T56 though and this one will be a 4L80e so that may not matter.
btw - thanks for the feedback Forcefed - i've read all your builds and they are really impressive. your feedback is really why i'm asking here lol. i may just go with the norm VSracing 80 or 88 that everyone runs and be done with it, just wanted to try something new but not worth doing if you think it won't meet my goals.

That's correct, they run at completely different pressure ratios on the small engines. I have 3582 T3's on my 5.3 with upgraded billet 64mm compressors. The T3 housings are tiny, even for a 5.3 and they light off instantly. I def. wish I would have went with the T4 housings.
These are them and they took a $250 offer. And mine had V band outlets. I believe they have the T4 option you can request as well.

You want the larger exhaust wheels and housings. Esp. since you plan on going to a larger engine down the road. Last I spoke with Viren the 67/65's were $320 And the 61/65's were $250. The 61/65's on a 6.0 have made 980whp or so that I'm aware of...possibly more.

sorry for all the questions - would you run those twin 67/65s over a billet 88? seems like when you include the extra gate and downpipe cost they would run about the same. car is going to be a BMW E90 so package is a concern for the 88, those 67/65s do look pretty small and easy to package

Yup, likely the same. Would be close, but if setup right i think youd have the edge over the billet s480 with the twin 61s. Shud have less back pressure and you could cam it more aggressivly to make more power per pound.
The 61s will be best suited for a typical 5.3 IMO. Each step up in compressor will net u more flow but slow response. Id go 70/65s for a 408. And 61/65s for a 5.3-4.8. 67s would be middle ground and ive never seen a set on an LS yet. Might ask Viren if he has any customers running them.
